Sasha Dolls
Sasha Morgenthaler was a Swiss Artist, who was born in 1893 and died in 1975. She began making dolls in the 1920’s. As she progressed in her doll making, she developed the Sasha doll.
She was so happy about this doll because of its life-like expression and qualities. But she was not happy about the cost of making the doll in her studio.
This is when she teamed up with Gotz for mass production until 1970. Gotz started making the Sasha doll again in 1995 and stopped in 2001 at the request of the heirs of the artist, Sasha Morgenthaler.
